ABOUT OUR STORES
Matador Cigars has been the leading cigar lounge and tobacconist on Long Island since 2008 when we first opened our doors in Roslyn Heights. Since then, we have expanded to five locations, with stores in Massapequa, Hauppauge, Brooklyn (Davidoff of Geneva), and Stroudsburg in Pennsylvania. We service all 5 boroughs, both Nassau and Suffolk County, and anyone planning a relaxing or romantic getaway to the Pocono Mountains. We are a proud distributor of cigars from Drew Estate, Davidoff, Padron, Arturo Fuente, and more.
ON-SITE LOUNGE PRIVILEGES
At Matador Cigars, we are proud to say that our locations feature incredibly comfortable leather chairs in lounges where you have ambience and access to watch live sporting events. Each chair is stationed with high-quality ashtrays and matchboxes. All we ask of our customers is to practice etiquette in our locations, including:
- As a guest, please only enjoy cigars either purchased that day from our humidor, or, if you are a locker member, from your locker.
- To avoid any accidents and to protect the integrity of our cigars, we ask that bags, drinks (sealed or not), and lit cigars be left outside of the humidor.
- If we don’t have a cigar that meets your requirements, we do offer a cutting fee of $25. However, with over 1500 different cigars, we are sure to have one for you.
- Feel free to bring food and drinks into the lounge. However, we do ask anyone who does so to be mindful of the other guests and to clean up any packaging, wrappings, or leftovers when finished.
- We only permit cigars and pipe tobaccos to be smoked in our stores. We ask that any cigarettes, vapes, or other products be taken outside.
- Each store is equipped with a restroom and kitchenette area. While these are available for use, we ask everyone to keep everything as neat as possible for the next guest. If something does go astray, feel free to let one of our staff know.
- We ask everyone to use the lounge in proportion to their purchase. While our lounges are larger than most, seating does need to be made available for the next guest eventually.
CLEANLINESS
We at Matador Cigars take pride in maintaining a clean environment for our guests. Every lounge is cleaned nightly, ashtrays and emptied consistently, our ventilation is top notch, and we only use distilled water for the humidification.
The humidifiers are cleaned regularly, and the humidor is kept at optimal smoking conditions. No need to worry about dry, soggy, or moldy cigars.
AMENITIES
Each lounge has a selection of cold refreshments available for purchase to enjoy with your cigar. Or, if you’d prefer a hot beverage, each store carries a wide variety of Nespresso. At the counter of each store, we offer any type of cigar cut imaginable, as well as an array of lighters to meet your needs. All guests are entitled to a complimentary book of long stick wooden matches. During Football Season, we offer the NFL Sunday Ticket where available and offer extended hours for New York Playoff games.
